Brief Description

Welcome to the Third Annual Powell3 Triathlon Challenge! Get your competitive juices flowing as you take on your fellow competitors at the Stateline Marina at Wahweap! Sprint and Olympic distances will be offered at this long awaited event!
 

USAT Requirement
You must be an annual member of USAT; and have your valid card with you; or pay a one day USAT license fee of $10 with registration or at packet pick up. Only the registered athlete may pick up their respective packet. Photo ID will be required of all participants at packet pick-up
 
Registration Fees
SAVE NOW! Register EARLY (before April 30th) and save $10! EARLY REGISTRATION - $90.00 until APRIL 30th, Regular Registration - $100.00 until SEPT 30th, and Late Registration - $115.00 until OCT 12th. Registration may close early if race is filled to capacity of 500 participants.
 
Swim
Sprint -- 750 meters; Olympic -- 1500 meters. Triangular course marked with yellow/orange buoys. Deep water start; Water temperatures will be in the upper 60's/low 70's so wetsuits are highly recommended. Course will be guarded with personal watercraft and boats, and swim will be separated in groups no larger than 100 swimmers to ensure your safety. See webpage for course map and details.
 
Bike
Sprint: 12 miles, Olympic: 24 miles. The bike course has some hills to challenge, and flats and downhills to build speed. This course travels through the park on a lane restricted to the race participants only, and on HWY-89 for approximately 3 miles (open to traffic-- protected with Signs, Cones and Highway Patrol). Sprint is one loop, Olympic is two loops. See the event webpage for course map and details.
 
Run
Sprint: 5k, Olympic 10k. The course offers spectacular views of the lake and Glen Canyon dam, and surrounds you with the red rocks of Powell. Aid Stations will be set up for particpants at miles 1 and 2, as well as near the transition area for the sprint distance, Miles 1,2, 4, and 5 for the Olympic distance.
